JSC HOSTS WORLD CLASS EVENT!
It is an honour and a privilege for JSC, on behalf of the Parachute Association of South Africa, the Aero Club of South Africa and all the affiliated Drop Zones, to host the 5th FAI Canopy Piloting World Cup (December 2009).
JSC is one of the biggest and most professional skydiving clubs in South Africa. The club has been running for 14 years and is situated at its own airfield in Carletonville, 120km from downtown Pretoria and 100km from downtown Johannesburg.
Our swoop pond meets all IPC competition requirements for Canopy Piloting and we have hosted successful competitions over our pond since its inception. The pond is centred in the middle of its own landing area which is located behind the club. This allows for excellent spectator value and a number of safe alternative landing zones.
