The Process

How It Works

Freefall with the help of professional skydive instructors to help you each step of the way

AFF students, get ready to fly!

Every Saturday at 8 a.m., you’ll start your journey by attending ground school training at the Dropzone. This is where you’ll learn the essential skills you need before you ever leave the plane. After ground school, you’ll work with an AFF instructor to get even more hands-on training.

The AFF program has 10 levels you’ll need to pass to earn your skydiving license. You’ll complete specific tasks on each jump to prove you’ve mastered the skills.

On levels 1 through 3, two instructors will be right there with you, holding on as you exit the plane from 11,000 feet. For levels 4 through 7, you’ll have one instructor by your side. Then, on levels 8 through 10, you’ll do something amazing: your first solo skydives!

Every step of the way, your AFF instructor will prepare you for what’s next. Before each jump, they’ll brief you on the specific skills you need to perform for that level. Once you’re back on the ground, your instructor(s) will debrief you and give you a pass or a fail. If you pass, you’ll move on to the next level; if you don’t, you’ll repeat the jump until you master it.

To get the most out of your training, we recommend completing the AFF program within an 8-week period. This will help you build on your skills and knowledge in an accelerated way.

Static Line

The static line progression is perfect for someone who would like to jump alone but does not want to do the AFF program. Static line is the original, best known method of learning to skydive. A tether attached to the airplane automatically opens the parachute.

AFF Questions

You can perform up to 4 jumps in a day. This depends on physical and mental capacity of the student.

You need to jump at least once a month. The AFF programme is designed to accelerate the progression of the student, so it is recommended to be completed in as short a time as possible.

The detailed costs are outlined on the page above or under Pricing. You pay per level you are performing on that day. It is better to have the funds available to progress as quickly as possible through this prorgamme to get maximum benefit.
